Update and a Very Important Poll

By | October 19, 2013

This is a follow to this journal.

I’ve been rushing to find a solution to this mess for days now, and I might be close to a solution.

Ads are no longer a option it seems. I’ve already heard back from 9 of the ad networks that I’ve applied to, and I’ve gotten 8 rejection letters. The only one to accept me was pretty shady. I briefly tried them out, and it turns out they had terrible ads that paid horribly. There are still some ad networks I haven’t heard back from yet, but at this rate it seems like a long shot any of those will pan out.

At this point, a paid subscription service seems like the only option to keep SapphireFoxx alive. Handling payments will be the tricky part, so I’ve asked four different merchant services to review my site to see if it is acceptable to their standards. I’ve heard back from all four of them (including PayPal), and they all think my site is acceptable to use their services. It seems they all have different standards than the ad companies.

I am worried that they could turn on me at some point like Google did, but if I could use 4 of them, then one backing out wouldn’t be a disaster as long as I got subscribers to switch to one of the other carriers.

So this is where you come in. I need to maintain a certain number of subscribers to make the site sustainable. Here is how things would work:

– A subscription would only cost $5 per month.
– Any new content I make from this point on will be exclusive to subscribers.
– Any old content that is already made will be in the free section of the site.
– There will be no contract, you can drop out whenever you want.
– There will be no more mature content.

I know many of you will not be pleased with that last statement, but I don’t want my site to become a porn site. To clarify, I define mature content as anything with nudity (or beyond). There will still be sexy material, such as sexy outfits, kissing, and such, but no porn. Not only am I feed up with the trouble it causes, but I also want to see TG become more respected someday. I want to make good stories that people will love to see and respect.

I know money is tight for a lot of people, so I’m trying to make this as affordable as I can. In each month I’ll put out at least two or three animations with a new comic page EVERYDAY. I’m offering an entire month of the content you love for the price of a sandwich.

So, if you want to see my working continued, like Stealing From Sis, Crossplay, Shifting Roommates, and any new series I have planned, then the only way this all will continue is with the subscription service. Like I said, I need to find out if there are enough people out there willing to do it. I’ve made a poll to find this out. Please be honest when answering because lying will not help me figure out what is best to do next.

The poll can be found on the left side of any page on the site.

What alot of comments seem to be saying is “I want the content but cant pay for it because I dont have a credit card, so can you keep putting up for free as long as someone else pays for it”. I take that to mean “I dont have a credit card or PayPal account because I am a minor”, which is exactly why google is banning the site. But to me it is simple economics, he has to work to live and has to pay for all his materials needed to make the product. So therefore he has to… Read more »

there are lots of sites that deal with “mature” TG subjects and are not anything like pornography. since you are going “pro” “mature” subjects should be mandatory. that to me would make the site worth $5 a month.

A few years ago the artist for SometingPositive put out a challange that if his readers matched a set dollar amount in donations…. what he figured he needed to cover his bills for a year… he would go to full-time posting. I donated to that, and you can find him, and Choo-Choo Bear online today….. reminds me I need to see what he did today…. I believe in this so much more…. but I =am- saddened that there will be no more mature content. I love some of Milda7 s work, but she transforms all these folks into attractive women,… Read more »

I think that you should tery what everyone else is saying and try the whole wait a month for non subscribers, but I also think you should let YouTube viewers know what’s happening through a vlog. I love your work, and losing all access to it would be really upsetting to a lot of people who, while incapable of offering financial support, have been there from the start.

I also would pay for this content. To echo some suggestions, and maybe throw a few more out: – adding a donate button would definitely be worth it. Assuming you can get a payment portal to cooperate, it costs you nothing, and potentially nets you something. I’d suggest you pull money out of any linked account controlled by the portal as swiftly as possible, however, as they also might suddenly decide to turn on you, and you wouldn’t want to lose cash if that was the case. But, there are definitely portals who’d be behind work like yours. – consider… Read more »

I would pay the five dollars. It’s always rough spending money on “stuff”, but I would put it somewhere else, so I would rather put it here. 5*12 equals 60 dollars a year.
I did vote yes on this poll, through I might not be scribried every month, depending on how things are going for me.
Thank you, and I hope this can continue.
