Yeah, I think the whole personality alteration thing is unnecessary on the whole. Maybe if you’re going for a complete loss of memory and identity, then it might be justified. But saying that she has to like makeup, fall in love with boys, get obsessed over shoes and clothes and become completely dainty and feminine, all because she’s a Woman™? It just strikes me as generalising, stereotyped, and potentially insulting. The people who are getting all excited over the change are, in all likelihood, the ones getting turned on by it.
