New Beyond Comics! Fractured Stories

By | October 9, 2021

Here’s a big, fat announcement for upcoming Beyond comics. The comic Fractured will be returning as not one, but FOUR volumes in “Fractured Stories”! As the title implies, each volume will be a self-contained story about each of the four Fractured girls off on their own independent adventure. The series will be kicked off in a ten-page prologue, where Lorraine from Godmother intervenes in their lives, setting them off on a new course.

We’re not going to run all four volumes of Fractured Stories back to back. However, we are going to run the prologue and Volume 1 together, with the Prologue starting October 16 and Volume 1 beginning October 26. Volume 1, “Returning Home” will focus on Eva.

“A nervous Eva takes a flight back to South Korea to meet her family for the first time since her transformation from Evan. What she doesn’t know is that a mysterious benefactor has taken the liberty of changing the memories of her family and friends to always have known her as Eva. What adventures will the young woman get up to once she discovers that her home has changed along with her body?”

Be sure to stick around for the later volumes of Fractured Stories in the coming months!

  • Volume 1: Returning Home. Staring Eva
  • Volume 2: Shopping Around. Staring Lilly
  • Volume 3: Eighteen Again. Staring Miley
  • Volume 4: Bright Lights. Staring Kailey

How would she be in for a rude awakening? Given that she was nervous before going on the trip because her family would probably be expecting Evan instead of Eva, and her family would now only remember Eva instead of Evan, wouldn’t that be a pleasant surprise? That sounds like a good thing, not a bad thing.

I feel sorry for Miley. She has to go through high school all over again.

Given that she’s 18, and most people graduate from high school when they’re either 17 or 18, she wouldn’t have to go through high school all over again. By this point, it’s more likely that she’ll have graduated from high school, but would have to do college over again.

It seems that Kailey has taken Caroline’s/Oliver’s place.

I assume you’re talking about Miley turning “back” into a woman? Who said that this version of Miley ever went back being a man? Since Sam has said that Miley’s story will be non-canon, it doesn’t have to follow what happened in SF universe. It could diverge and do something completely different from the main timeline. In this case, it sounds like Miley never went back to being Matthew. Maybe in this timeline, Alistair never showed up and offered them the choice to go back to being men? That’s the beauty of the Beyond stories. They’re set in alternate universes,… Read more »

Eh, I don’t like the idea of Miley being a teen again, but identity death does sells very well, sooo….

Her transformation was always an age regression to 18 years old. We’ve never known a Miley that wasn’t 18. Also, I wouldn’t call 18 a “teen” since that is the legal age of becoming an adult. You’re only a teen if you’re between the ages of 13 and 17. If you can vote and can consent to sex with another adult, then you’re legally an adult.

Plus, I don’t think you can call what happens with Matthew/Miley an “identity death.” Death implies that it is permanent, but Matthew always came back, so he’s not dead.

I like Eva in Fractured due to her character development to accept the new life as the story goes on

Same. She came from being almost incel like loser to a free-spirited woman. One of the best story arcs on this website.
