Considering the game is portraying an entire artificial reality, even auto translating language perfectly, it’s totally believable that it could actually alter a person’s mind.
Given the elven ear mannerisms, the effects of lust potions, the shifting personalities of EVERYONE involved, the language translation and so on I’d say its pretty much certain the game mucks with your mind.
