it’s so sad that 13 yr. old caroline was killed because she wasn’t wearing her seat belt . and oliver was there when she passed away. and lorraine was probably unconscious when they slammed into that tree.
So here we see Loraine’s reason to replace Oliver with Caroline.

I don’t think this is the end of the flash back and memory, something tells me there is more to this.
So the real Caroline was innocent. Still not seeing any reason to forgive Lorraine for her twisted attempt to turn Oliver into her. If anything this just shows how bloody screwed up in the head Lorraine is.

So we have the death of Caralone, and then Ash having sex on the bottom…
This reminds me somewhat from the prologue to The Last of Us since like Lorraine, Joel lost his daughter due to her injuries. A few differences include that Lorraine’s daughter died because of the car crash whereas Joel’s daughter died because a soldier opened fire on her and Joel.
It seems like an extreme coincidence that we get this scene right as another Awakening episode is announced to be released next month (because in Awakening VI, Isabelle’s mother was killed by Sylvana and Awakening VII dealt with the pain of losing family similar to what the memory flashback was).
