Rent controled perhaps? In my college town, rent for a nice apartment in the center of town is $1300.00.

My aunt benefits massively from rent control in Hollywood. She lives basically around the corner from Paramount studios, and has been renting the same condo for 40 years. It’s got 2 bedrooms, a large kitchen, and a frankly gigantic living room, and she pays about $300/mo.

That’s not unreasonable for a crowded city like NYC. the average rent for a decent apartment in Dallas Fort Worth is between 1100 and 2200 depending on the area. And DFW has a much larger foot print than NYC.

That’s one of the reasons it’s that cheap. If everyone wants to live somewhere specific, but there just isn’t space, the prices go up and only the rich get to live there.

$1500 rent… must be Staten Island.

Defiantly on the lower end of the spectrum apartment wise, but not unthinkable even in Brooklyn. That said, in NYC, most of those apartments are glorified closets.

Yup! On the west coast, San Fran is like that, exorbitant prices for tiny places. It’s the same deal as Manhattan, You don’t want to live across the water. Glorified closets is a good description. I’d have to check that my 6’2″ body could lie down flat!

Panels 5,6 = $700. Panel 7=$650. Grab’em quick! They’re evaporating!

Ha Ha ,those r hundreds. But does it really matter ? Godmother paid the rent and gave him the body of a real stunner, that will open any door he wants and maybe even a few that he doesn’t want ??
