Lill is coming to grips with her own transphobic view of whether or not a pre-op transwoman is a woman or not. Something that sadly us real life transwomen have to push back against at some point. As another transwoman put it.. “Transitioning does not make you a woman.. you are a woman, therefore you transition.” Gender is much more than body parts.

That’s a really elegant way to put it. So many people simply don’t understand that concept, and thus fear what they don’t understand.

I think that comes down to the basic misunderstanding between physical sex and gender identity. If a person has a penis and testicles then said person is still physically male, even if their gender is female.
