Since this is taking place in Australia, I vote that
MATthew changes her name to MATilda.

And if they go back to Lindsey’s place for the night,
Lindsey can go “Waltzing with Matilda”. ;>)

Lindsey was a gender mutual name, but guess that’s why Lucas chose it.

Oh the irony. Just a month ago, he was making fun of her for being a “tranny”. Now? He’s sticking up for her, saying not to listen to the haters xD

It’s a good change.

I gained some wisdom from an episode of SNL yesterday. The fact that your parents won’t accept you as transgender/gay/concert pianist/whatever is not your problem, it’s theirs. Remember that.

You should get it over with, Matthew. Take the consequences as they come, you coward.

if he had said something earlier it wouldnt really be a big problem to tell (If you compare it to his state now). Now he looks more like a girl than a man, she might not even know who he is and he will probabaly not look like this when he arrives home. So saying that he should get over it, is kind of hard to say.

Well this is interesting, I think I more prefer the happy stories, transgender being hated and even killed is too much like real life, that’s why we read the fiction. If I want to hear a story about a transgender being killed (or beaten; or so mistreated as to turn to suicide to escape the world that hates them) after getting “found out” I’ll turn on the news.
