Did he tell his dad everything already? I reviewed the strip but it is a little unclear. He should anyway- you never know who or what a little old barber might know- they meet and talk to a LOT of people. Also, up until a century ago barbering and healing were the same profession. Barbers were the first doctors. If anyone non blood was to know of a true magical healer- it would probably be a little old barber. It would be an interesting story line anyway.
I like your thinking. The barber as surgeon/doctor a century ago was typical in most small communities of the old West.
He needs to run to work at the Barber shop and ask his Dad for advice. Is Matt’s Mom still alive? That would be a fun conversation!
