Eep! How can Lara keep track of two completely different makeover activities at once? Especially when one of them is specifically happening to and around her eyes?
Looks like Lara is going to have purple nails from the looks of the second panel, it would be nice to see her wear open some toe heels to show them off 🙂
Good point. I bet Ana offers some of her heels to Lara to try on, and when she sees how well they fit, that’s got to be more evidence to Ana that this is Luke (recall when Luke earlier on inadvertently stepped into her boots) – if she isn’t already on to him now. I bet they’re just playing with Luke/Lara, and having fun with the feminization of him…
How has she Luke not been revealed to Be Lara yet, this is the thickest plot armor so far
Agreed. Unless the wig has some kind of nanotech to conceal the cap or lace-front, they should have noticed the edge.
This is a world that has voice-changing chokers and gel that gives you boobs and ass. You don’t think maybe they have significantly more convincing wig technology than real life?
fair pint
Nah. Too much plot amour
Plot armor has nothing to do with it. Jackie and Ana have no reason to suspect that Lara is Luke in disguise. Lara hasn’t done anything suspicious, nor has Luke done anything to make them suspect that he’s Lara. Doing her makeup like this doesn’t give anything away, since they believe that Lara grew up on a farm and never got to experience getting a makeover until now. So little things like thicker eyebrows or feet that need to be washed before getting her nails done can be overlooked.
Why is make up so unnecessarily complicated?
Because it’s supposed to mostly stay within limits of ‘attractive’ and ‘healthy’.
True, there were makeup styles that went with large ‘slashes’ or geometric shapes (e.g. “Jem and the Holograms”) but they still tended to stick with ‘glamour’ rather than ‘clown’.
Of course, modern makeup also has to meet certain standards of not being toxic…

Luke, You lucky duck!
This is my fantasy to get a makeover ?
Waiting for the day it can become a reality ?
Your day will come. It was my dream for so long until it happened while I was in high school and I was just in glee internally.
Ooh, keeping the new look a surprise, eh?
Maintaining suspense, maintaining reader interest… 🙂
