wonder how much in donations will Luke get as Lara tonight as well as getting Darren to believe that he’s Lara . i hope that Luke can really pull this off in more ways than one.
So far I like the story but the main character is starting to come off as very selfish and unlikeable, I mean I get the point of the story is him lying, but he’s starting to get a real creepy vibe to him, just my opinion, but I’ll still read, just was wondering if anyone else was feeling that
My view he is trying to help a friend with self-esteem problems, that could get him into some very serious legal and moral problems. It’quite the opposite of what you are thinking. The road to hell is paved with good intentions, or fools rush in where angels fear to tread.
Like Zillatrek already explained to you nothing about what Like is doing is illegal and as for helping a friend he is going about it I a way that can’t possibly end well.
First of all, I do have right to an option and you and Zillatrek don’t have the right to pass Judgment or to poormouth my view on this story, its bad enough we are heading for George Orwell’s 1984. In my younger years I hung around with people that where in and of trouble with the law, I myself have tangle with the IRS so I do have an understanding of what could happen. So how many hours have you spent reading options at the local law library through The Journal of the American Medical Association Have you ever written a… Read more »
The saying doesn’t go “everyone has the right to an opinion.” The correct saying is “everyone has the right to an informed opinion.” As in your opinion means absolutely nothing and should be disregarded if you don’t know what you’re talking about. And everything I’ve seen you say on the subject of fraud and crimes has not been informed in the slightest. Everything you’ve said on the subject has been misinformed and incorrect. Opinions do not equate to knowledge, and it is possible to have a wrong opinion if it’s misinformed. And your opinion on what Luke is doing here… Read more »
What an Orwellian dictatorships such as your self, loves, someone who will not question authority but accepted it per verbatim. The freedom of thought should be a cherish object and not be traded away so lightly, otherwise you are on a fool’s errand, as I am really tired of your insecurity and your delusional Psychotic Rant, and will continue to post this under the first armament as long as it not likeTwitter or Facebook. So go on and make accusation you can’t’ prove to your heart content.
I do apologize for this minor disagreement. It’s done on my end.
That quote is not from George Orwell. It’s from Harlan Ellison, an American writer, most famously known for writing several episodes of the original Star Trek, including arguably the best episode, The City on the Edge of Forever. “You are not entitled to your opinion. You are entitled to your informed opinion. No one is entitled to be ignorant.” What he’s saying isn’t that people can’t have opinions. He’s saying that not all opinions are equal and that opinions can be wrong. And to make sure you don’t have a wrong opinion, you must stay informed and know what you’re… Read more »
Oh, you mean his friend Darren being mgtow, and the main character trying to prove him wrong by catfishing him? Then objectifying women to make money on the internet. Is that the vibe?
Should be interesting to see him get caught in a trap of his own devising, to which there is a serious chance it could get dark and edgy. In that case, there should be a trigger warning. Even though that is not the way these stories normally go.
yeah those things, again it is early, but the catfishing thing really bugs me
How is Darren MGTOW? If he was he wouldn’t so desperate.
I think this is obviously gonna lead to Lara replacing Luke at this point. Its already out of control, and it hasn’t even been 50 pages yet.
What is it with people saying that Sam should be putting warnings and disclaimers along with this comic lately? First Odd Duck says there should be a BS warning about not attempting to do what Luke is doing, and now you’re saying there should be a trigger warning. Even though FaF isn’t any worse than anything else that Sam has done on this website, and Sam has NEVER put a warning or disclaimer before any animation or comic. Why should he start now when Sam has told much darker stories that involve murder and identity death? Just because this could… Read more »
As I mentioned, the stories here don’t normally include the assault of women, so I can see there being no trigger warning. I’m just saying that a start like this can become dark. Especially if Darren distrusts any woman that would like someone like him, has given up on meeting anyone that would like him, and has a moment of transpanic when finding out about Lara’s secret.
Darren doesn’t come off as mgtow to me. Like, yeah, he is single and sad about his single status, but there’s a pretty big gap between that emotion and getting involved with toxic online communities like mgtow/incel. Those communities turn into an echo chamber of resentment until most people in those communities become radicalized and hate women.
You can be sad about being single without hating the opposite gender, and without going to online hate forums that will radicalize you.
Yes, he is young and can be saved, but he’s only 1 or 2 steps away. Luke could push him down the stairs if he is not careful, and Luke seems to be the “flying by the seat of his pants” type.
He’s not “objectifying women”, he’s objectifying himself, which is no different to that which many women do. If they can do it, so can he, and it is sexist to suggest otherwise.
Like with a lot of plans that main characters have in SF stories where they’re trying to help someone else out, they always feel that the ends justify the means. Luke’s ultimate goal here is not to lie or be creepy. He’s trying to help Darren regain his confidence around women. And the only way he can think of helping his best friend with that is to pretend to be a woman. Yes, he’ll eventually have to come clean, but he doesn’t have to do that until after Darren has a girlfriend and his goal is accomplished. He may be… Read more »
How I project the story playing out: Darren falls hard for Lara, thinking she’s just perfect: both beautiful and someone he can bond with over gaming and other things he and Luke have always bonded over. And Lara takes over Luke’s sensibility, as he grows into flirting online as her and also with Darren as her. Lara/Luke discovers new feelings for Darren, and she gets interested in trying to become even closer with Darren. Luke’s masculinity declines while Lara takes over, and she/he becomes more comfortable as a girl. Lara grapples hard with a life choice to give up being… Read more »
Regardless of what we think is going to happen or where this story is going to go, Luke doesn’t see that far into the future. He’s taking this one step at a time. He only sees what he wants to achieve, which is to help Darren regain his confidence. Once that has been accomplished, he’ll believe there’s no reason to keep Lara around. While I don’t doubt that things will become more complicated, that’s an issue for the future, not the present. Luke is very much a man who lives in the moment, not worrying about what’s going to happen.
And its great for rusty hinges and polishing up your car, and taking that peskily stain out your clothing. Guarantee or your money back.
Looks like Sili-Gel is actually the true answer to life, the universe, and everything…
He needs to get 42 tubes of it, then it will be.
I just realized you said this on page #42, my perception skill is pathetic.
what if he runs out of silly gel and buys permanent silly gel
If that was the case then I’d call it either Karma or a blessing.
Permanent SilliGel would require a prescription from your doctor because it is essentially the same thing as cosmetic surgery.
Is the 77072 a reference to something? What do you all think.
Anyhow the character on it looks seriously cool.
Yes! Yes! Yes! Bigger, bigger, BIGGER’
HOooo my aching back!
I’d give anything to have back problems if they were caused by huge breasts???
