boy that darren sure has one good friend in luke that would change his life for his friend . let’s hope that ana and jackie see things luke’s way.
The characters in SF world are more air headed than air itself. Over egging the story so soon in, is sloppy character / plot development.
It depends on the story. If it deals with magic between magic users, then there’s a lot less stupidity, but with non-bloods they are really dumb.
Can there just be a protagonist that doesn’t have dead parents for once?
Yes, Luke, what *is* your endgame here!? Seems like a lot of effort to go through just to make your friend happy for a moment. It would be easier to just find some picture of a random girl, but nooo… You just have to do it the hard way and eventually end up as Darren’s girlfriend. It’s either that or break his heart all over again…
Maybe that is exactly what he wants
Maybe Luke wanted to be a girl all along. This is the only reason why I can come up with.

Does anyone know where the love of God goes
When the waves turn the minutes to hours?
The searchers all say they’d have made Whitefish Bay
If they’d put fifteen more miles behind her
They might have split up or they might have capsized
They may have broke deep and took water
And all that remains is the faces and the names
Of the wives and the sons and the daughters
Part of me is wondering if someone is a fan of the old school soap opera General Hospital, from the Late 70’s and Early 80’s.
Yes, I watched it after I got home from elementary school.
I wonder, the fact that Luke knew exactly what he needed to create his femme persona, Lara, makes me wonder. Has he done this before? Or, did he attend the same school as Alyssa, who helped make it known the effects of Silli-Gel on the male body?
Maybe he saw some behind the scenes thing on movie DVD
It seems like he has done it before.
I mean… men don’t have to be well-versed in the art of crossdressing to pull it off. Most men know what separates them from women and what it might take to them look female. A wig, makeup, the right clothes, etc. For that reason, I highly doubt that Luke has done this before. Additionally, sili-gel seems to be a very common product in the SF universe, much like common makeup brands in our world like Maybelline or Covergirl. You’d imagine that there’s big advertisements everywhere, including commercials. Even if men don’t use Covergirl or sili-gel, they still see advertisements for… Read more »
Luke didn’t appear to have much embarrassment about being in a lingerie shop, or any troubles picking out lingerie in the right size. No confusion about the materials, numbers and letters. I remember from my early days of dressing femme, it was a lot of hit and miss with my clothes purchases, mostly guessing which sizes would be the closest fit.
I’d argue that there was a lot of embarrassment from Luke both before entering the store and during his time in the store. Lines like “I can’t believe I’m about to do this” and “Yup! Just shopping for my lovely girlfriend!” as he continues to make up embarrassing lies. Then there’s the fact that he whispered to Sandra that he was looking for sili-gel. If he wasn’t embarrassed, then why did he whisper that line? If I’m being completely honest, I think there were at least a half dozen moments in the last two pages that showed Luke was embarrassed… Read more »
I’ll admit that it’s a bit odd and feels shoehorned in. Like one could easily write a scene where he simply looks up tips and tricks online. But wasn’t it the same with the main character of Earning those tips?
But it was far more transitional and a lot more believable imo.
Well considering how this is after GIC will this sili-gel be permanent?
If that’s the case, our young Skywalker will surely have some trouble with it.
Getting Into Character was a one in a million thing cause Austin didn’t properly go through puberty. Even if there was permanent sili-gel, i doubt it would be sold commercially
Yes something like that is essentially plastic surgery and would require approval from your doctor.
