I don’t think Ana will have any trouble finding that special someone.
It’s all a matter of timing and opportunity. She deserves better than Jorge
and maybe she will hook up with a special lady as well.
This felt like a nice place to wrap it up, but we still have a few days of it left…
I’m not a shipper or anything usually, but I was right! My ship won! I knew that Lara and Darren were endgame the moment Darren appeared on screen. Something about (deadname)’s and Ana’s friendship came off more like those bbf stories about female friendships that are in basically in every female-centric story.
ok here are my thoughts, first the negatives, i think i have made it clear that i dont like this comic, stuff kept happening without purpose, there were scenes that were going too fair and the reveal of the villain made no sense, there was no hint of carl throughout the story being Cypher, this was a story that really didn’t need a twist, honestly i wish there was a new character introduce to be the villain, that be said, i really loved everything else, Lara’s journey was interesting to view and watching Lara’s friends grow closer is good to… Read more »
Karl being the villain actually makes perfect sense, especially when he said on the first chapter that he wanted Lara when she was boymoding, that she’ll make a lot of money on Switch tm if she was an e-girl essentially. That was the first red flag.
Since the comic is just about done, here are my thoughts. I went into this thinking it would be a fun crossdressing story. No magic, just sili-gel and makeup. While that did hold true, it was a lot more than that. Luke was pretty much a jerk at the beginning, leading everyone on, getting Darren’s hopes up while trying to sleep with half the cast. In the end, she discovered that not only was she bisexual, but also transgender. This leads me to one of the big problems i had, phrasing. I feel like the writer only had a baseline… Read more »
Could it be that the characters themselves did not know the true meaning of the terms they were using? When writing, you have to keep in mind what the character knows and write it that way. If you’re looking to find accurate information here, then you will be disappointed. If your looking for people bumbling through life and learning as they go along, then you will enjoy the stories just a little bit more.
Its hard to say. But Karl is supposed to be pretty smart, one would assume he would know the term “pansexual” means “attraction to anyone, regardless of gender”. And Jackie seemed to be pretty up to date on these things when she helped Luke. Using the term genderfluid seems a bit beneath her. Of course, these aren’t my characters. I cant say with 100% certainty whether or not they would know these terms. All i can say is that it seems like bad writing
You just touched the tip of the iceberg in the mistakes in the planning and writing of the story. After Lara started her second date with Darren to her being harassed by Karl when she was on her only date with Ana, the pacing got all weird, and after the coming out to Jackie, the story did a speedrun, which was a big sign that the writers didn’t know what they were doing. Same with everyone except Jackie didn’t know that something was off with Lara was boymoding, and her fem side was showing pretty loudly, was annoying, and very… Read more »
Yea i can definitely agree the pacing in the story wasn’t very good. Usually its easy to blame the scenes that are clearly for the Beyond crowd, but it was more than that. This ending was definitely rushed. From Lara figuring out that Karl was Cypher all along to him just ending up arrested and in prison, it was too easy. The comic actually had nothing to do with me figuring myself out. I joined a new community earlier this year and they helped me realize that I’m trans. I was just saying that, by realizing it, i could relate… Read more »

Yup, that’s what I mean that the pacing and planning was poorly done. Soon as Lara came out to Jackie, the story did a massive speedrun, and suddenly, Lara was using her brain, when she was just scheming new… Read more »
I acknowledge that the team made an effort. But I have to say that the first comics fascinated and captivated me a lot more. The last few comics turned more and more to the applause of the ‘Beyond Comic’ subscribers. The subtle character development never happened anymore!
I agree. CI, and even moreso this comic were missing something that the first 4 had.
Wholeheartedly agree, the entire site has took a turn towards porn, ever since the beyond site was introduced.
As the saying goes “Sex Sells” so of course it will turns more to the porn stuff because that selling like hotcakes
True.
Luke in the early pages: “I always thought you and I would be perfect.”
Lara today: “You’ll find someone, Ana.”
From Luke being friendzoned to Lara friendzoning, just like that. Geez, I feel bad for Ana, going through that journey she had (dating Jorge, the “bar skank” incident, going lesbian), and still ended up empty-handed. Honestly, it kinda feels like the pages dedicated to those scenes almost amounted to nothing. *sigh* Yare yare dawa..
I was hoping they would lead somewhere. We didn’t get any formal closure on it.
Yes, I was also hoping for the story of Ana’s sexuality to be resolved. Too bad!
Yo are right! For Ana this is not a good end!
Hopefully Ana will find someone.
Maybe it might be Jackie. They seem like a good ship to me. Ijs. ??♀️
Yeah it’s almost like the writers don’t know how to structure a story properly.
It’s one thing if you don’t like the story, but it’s another thing entirely to insult the creators and writers of the story like that. That is uncalled for. Even if you didn’t enjoy Favors and Followers, that doesn’t give you the right to personally attack or insult those who created FaF. That is something you keep to yourself.
How is LaudoMatriae’s comment insulting the writers?
It wasn’t meant as an insult. It was meant to be sarcastic.
That’s what happens with poor planning and pacing.
I hope that she moves on to someone non toxic unlike Lara in a future comic or animation.
well at least we now know what the title of darren’s documentary film is about and it’s what we all thought it would be about it’s the story behind # justice 4 lara . who didn’t know that already . and i am glad darren and lara found each other . hope ana does find that someone special in the future . tomorrow is the final page of this comic and wonder how it will all end . and how will the next comic series crossfire begins .
