Do they merge together? I know that they use birds and snakes or anything with eggs to breed itself, how the fuck did two of them merge together then separate themselves after having Drake in their grasp so fast? That confused me, and I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who’s confused.
According to those ecology lab notes about the Glumine, they are monocellular organisms, meaning they’re similar in concept to the alien from John Carpenter’s The Thing. Each Glumine cell is its own independent creature and can separate and combine with other Glumine cells at any point in time. Meaning there weren’t two Glumine that ambushed Drake, but millions upon millions of Glumine cells. In theory, one Glumine could be as small as one cell or as big as a building, and then that Glumine could separate into any number of smaller Glumine creatures.
