Ghost: Being a spirit is way better, I have abilities plus no longer bound to bodily needs. I wouldn’t dare return to life even if you begged me. I was longing all my years to shed my flesh

(5) I want this to be a separate comment.

Lastly, I think I finally have an answer to my Bloodlines theory. I think the Bloodline that I matched to each ghost is their Bloodline when they are still alive. So, Harlequin is an Amethyst, Nurse is an Emerald, Bride is a Diamond, etc. The only problem left is the Abomination. I said before that it’s the one corresponding to Ruby, but it still depends on what exactly is *that* thing, and how did it form in the first place. Hopefully, this gets answered as well.

I think it likely that the Abomination is attuned to the Ruby bloodline like you said but maybe its not truly an abomination. What if its another sorcerer like the others but since the red water is laced with Sylvana’s curse maybe their shared Ruby Blood somehow reacted with that soul and turning it into that monster. So Alistier will need to free that soul before he can help it move on.

Well, we knew before in Godmother that when a person dies, their soul shatters into fragments, and those fragments are dispersed, which is why some fragments remain in objects or persons nearby. In Caroline’s case, some fragments went to Oliver; for the ghosts’ case, the fragments went to their own curse orbs. I didn’t know before that this only applies to sorcerers, though. This makes me wonder what happens to a non-blood’s soul when they die. (2) I’m thinking that the soul fragment dispersion… Read more »

Curse implies that they were all supposed to be male but were cursed to be female

Although Silvana’s curse was only male-to-female, no?

No, Sylvana’s curse can be female to male as well, it wasn’t originally but because it is passed on to your descendants it is now.
