Yea this twist makes no sense and is so far left field. She has been dreaming of Gavin and this moment for over a year, and in the last few months has made no mention of wanting things to go back to the way they were, then having apparently mind blowing sex, without a moment’s thought goes “o yea I rather be a guy” ….this is lame. I agree. IMHO, much of this comic has focused on Zach/Zoey embracing the transgenderization into womanhood. This part of the plot, although many on the comment board have predicted it, plot wise, this makes no sense. Zoey has made several comments about the advantages of being a woman, including her sexuality. And to do a ‘crazy Ivan’ at the ‘bottom of the 9th’ (baseball term) is ludicrous!
IKR she has to be lying to herself. I for one refuse see Zach back and Gavin turn into a girl. Zoey and Gavin are a perfect couple imo and I like Zoey the way she is.
I’m ok with lesbians, but that’s not popular on this site, so Zack and Galea it is.
Personally I never felt like Zoey embraced womanhood. She’s enjoyed it and has certainly fallen in love with Gavin, but loves being a woman? Eh, not so much. If she had embraced being a woman, her thought balloons would have been in the female font by now. Instead, I think it’s a case of Zoey learning to like being a woman simply because she has no alternative. I’ve had a feeling that it was going to turn out that Gavin secretly wants to be a girl. So I’ve been okay either way if Zoey wanted to stay Zoey or if Zoey wanted to go back to being Zack. Because either way, Zoey/Zack and Gavin/Gaela will be together as a couple, either as a lesbian couple as Zoey and Gaela or as a hetero couple as Zack and Gaela. Dunno why so many people thought ol’ Gavy was a warlock, theres been no foreshadowing for that. You know what does have some? Hes transsexual. The only man on an island full of men transformed into women is the only one who actually wants to be a woman. How ironic is that?
I’m glad to get a reasonable answer out of this one, unlike with the other couple. On the other hand, I’m slightly disappointed that she hasn’t been moved enough by their relationship.
