The virus obviously has some connection to Sylvana and her plan.
I feel pretty confident in saying that Sylvana has nothing to do with what’s going on in Cinder Isle. Before America was even discovered, Sylvana had already been turned into a statue and imprisoned. Sylvana had never been to America before the events of “Awakening” so there’s no way she could have made that pond or that monster in 1996.
When the lake monster is awaken by Peter’s mistake, shouldn’t other sorcerers from outside of Cinder Isle would have sensed it from that otherworldly roar. Then maybe a few of them doing a investigating on that island to find answers on everything what has transpired as well as helping the victims.
If there’s a magic user living at Cinder Isle, then they should let the others know what really happened by using the communication spell to get help from the outside world.
We have never seen anything to indicate that sorcerers around the world telepathically know when someone bad is happening, like a monster being set free or in pain. Sorcerers are not THAT in tune with what’s going on around the globe. Hell, the only reason Alistair found out about Sylvana being released was because he heard a news report about Norah’s death on television. As for sorcerers on Cinder Isle trying to communicate with other sorcerers, we haven’t really seen anything like that on this website so it might not exist. This has gone on long enough! Losing Patrick is the last straw! At the very least a vaccine must be found to protect both men and women.
This is a wake up call for everyone ever since Patrick the young child who’s recently been infected. It’s time for desperate measures as anyone from Cinder Isle or government to bring out the big guns (investigators, virologists, supernatural experts, etc.) to search whatever answer within the whole island on every nook and cranny. Because every place has a deep dark secret.
