boy that’s one massive discount for all 3 family’s and guest Natalie to go to the ski resort for a little relaxing weekend. and i wonder what kind of gossip those girls Heather, Zoey, and Natalie will dish out on the slopes.
Welcome to winter wonderland
Is it just me who keeps mixing up Zoey and Wanda at first glance?
Looks like things are going to heat up on the ICE and SNOW, has Zoey and Gavin forgotten yet?
It’s cheap? Why is money even relevant to them anymore? They are totally cut off from the rest of the world and dependent on the military supplying everything. They only had what money was on the island, not like there is any money coming in. I find it strange they they are still going about their lives like this. But I guess it’s better than sitting at home despairing about the situation.
Despite being cut off from the rest of the world, everyone on Cinder Isle still needs to pay for food, clothes, electricity, running water, medicine and their houses. They still get all of this stuff from the outside world, it just has to go through the military blockade first, and then they have to pay for it. So money is still very relevant, as nothing is free on Cinder Isle. The best way to explain it is that Cinder Isle probably has its own little economy.
That just doesn’t make any sense to me. They are cut off from the rest of the world. What, is the military shipping in luxury items and taking itemized orders from the stores on the island? Is the military smuggling products made on the island off the island? Otherwise how are they making any money? And if they aren’t producing and selling then their money was made from tourism. Every time they buy something in this way money is leaving the island but no money would be coming back in. Eventually they’d run out of money. Just the idea that… Read more »
The best way to have fun on a friday in January.
Two days comic time till Super Bowl XXXI.
Since Sam is implying that Cinder Isle will go though another year, will it make it to 2000?
Bring on 1997.
Maybe I the only one, but a an island small enough for a total quarantine, with one bridge entrance and it big enough for a small mountain and ski resort. I calling B.S. And snowboarding not really the big thing then.
On page 51 of the comic, Sam revealed an exact topological map of Cinder Isle, which shows that there is indeed a mountain on the island. And since this island is just off the coast of Maine, it would make sense that this mountain sees plenty of snow during the winter season. So none of this is outside the realm of possibility. There are plenty of islands in the world that have mountains, just look at Iceland or New Zealand.
Also, people snowboarded in 1997.
The volcano on Tenerife is actually the tallest mountain in Spain at 3700+ meters
Snowboarding not big in 1997? You and I remember the 90’s very differently.
Cinder Isle is based off of the real life Bar Harbor, Maine. That place is an island on the coast and has at least one mountain.
So many possibilities in this winter chapter –
Maybe Zoey and Natalie have some private girl talk at the sauna or hot springs like bath / onsen
Bridget and her family confronted them
Or Wanda’s scandal continues
Sad, the new girls aren’t dressed as ski bunnies.
the t1g1 virus hasn’t been around long enough in the story to compleeetly weaken their resolve to not have sex yet.
