I’ve 2 endings with which I’d be happy
1st: Sylvana finally gives up her plans and is going to have a happy end together with Alistair (in love)
2nd: Sylvana takes down Alistair and gets to set a new world order
Might be a bit late to ask this, but what happened to all of the re-cursed men when Sylvana unleashed all of the curse orbs? Are there now two corrupted Mariah’s running about? Must have been quite the unpleasant surprise for those around them when they suddenly see people get TG’ed right in front of them and then suddenly turn evil/cult-fanatic. Also, what of the non-cured people with the curses? I take it they are still “fine” in the sense that they aren’t mind-controlled, but just wanted to know. Also, if someone with a gender curse gets attacked by one… Read more »
This episode along with episode 9 of Awakening make it apparent that Sylvana wanted to teach her remaining children to hate non-bloods like her after her corruption. She holds no resentment or hatred towards them for being with Alastair instead hating the latter for taking their children from her and “ruining” their lives.
The writing here is really good. Several different characters with different emotions and motivations that all came across very clearly. Nothing felt like filler.
This episode feels a LOT like Black Panther in terms of character motivation. Pros: There isn’t an OUNCE of filler in this as every moment is used to either show character growth or key plot development. While I could’ve have equally seen Isabelle remaining pissed at Alistair for what he did in the past, them being able to reconcile their differences is executed in a way that I feel works really well. Alistair’s characterization here is especially good, especially with the soul link scene showing how even after returning to his normal, human self, he’s in no way perfect. Cons:… Read more »

I’ve watched this story a lot and I believe another alternative would be to take way her power’s and have her become the very thing she intends to destroy.
Given that a sorcerer’s power is tied directly to their blood, it’s not really possible to turn Sylvana into a non-blood. Removing her blood would simply kill her, not de-power her.
A sorcerer can have their powers taken away temporarily by removing their blood non-lethally as shown with Isabelle’s case. Having Sylvana be temporarily stripped of her powers during the final battle before she is finally killed would be a fitting
fate for Sylvana since she relishes in how powerful she is.
hate is a poison very hard to get rid of.
That can be said about sorcerers and non bloods.
