these harvengers sound pretty similar to the Klingons in Star Trek
Considering that they are from the far corners of the universe, outside of our known reaches of space, the Harvengers sound more like the Borg or the Reapers from Mass Effect.
If there’s a Klingon point of comparison in Crossfire, it would be the Senjini, Tel’Hara’s race, since both are races of honorable warriors.

This sounds like something from Cinder Isle where the government tried to hush up the outbreak on Cinder Isle by claiming there was a nuclear radiation fallout over the island and everyone on the island was killed to keep people from going in and out of the island.
Yup. It seems like a rehash of that….not that there’s a problem with that if you ask me.
Given how most governments work yeah, I agree.
Just because both stories have a government that is trying to cover up an unexplained phenomenon from the public, does not mean that this is a “rehash” of Cinder Isle. Given that we’re hearing about this cover up on the fifth page, I’m gonna guess that the whole cover up angle isn’t a big deal in this story. But it was a big deal in Cinder Isle because it meant that no one could leave the island, no one could come in, and the outside world thought they were all dead.
