This guy may be a combination of James T. Kirk and Commander Shepard (male) considering Crossfire had inspiration for both Mass Effect and Star Trek.

From what Sam has said, it sounds like people don’t age while they’re in stasis sleep, or at least age much slower. Since the Commander has worked on Crossfire for 42 of his 72 years of living, he’s probably spent a good chunk of that time in stasis sleep, hence why he only looks like he’s 41 years old.

Sam also said simulated age will come in handy when we get to the alien members of Crossfire, who have different life spans than humans.

Why does that character’s suit remind of shepherd’s from the og Mass Effect series not the andromeda one cause that one was ok but there where issues
