I did some research. I sentence for extortion is 20 years and at least 3 years
for sexual harassment.
What the fuck? Why that big of a time skip? How could his trial possibly take an entire year? It still say “‘Karl Bevil’ arrested on charges of sexual harassment” on the news report. Also newsposition.
Trials take a long time. Especially for someone accused of multiple separate offenses that all need to be individually presented to the jury. Not to mention that it frequently takes 6+ months just to get a trial date at all for big federal cases like this.
Yeah sure but it would have been nice if it wasn’t so sudden, like “boom! one year later!” This is an even worse time skip than Avengers Endgame.
Agreed. It was very jarring. The conviction should of been shown at the last 2 to 4 pages, and not on the same page.
I think its time to wrap this story up, I don’t know what else can be said.
oh it’s going to get wrapped up in the next 13 pages .
Now’s the time to remind everyone that Sexual Assault is still a bid issue and needs to be addressed (I just went to a walkout against Sexual Assault)
Just wondering, because no one explains it to me.
What’s the difference between rape, sexual assault, sexual harassment, and molesting if all of those people are all just rapists? Its basically the same stuff, slightly different names.
Its even more of spliting hairs than the different names for homicide.
im so confused? one panel says one year later and the in the other panel it says differently, please dont rush your work and please double check, love your stuff and i know i didn’t like this comic but it deserves respect like the others, please take your time…
Where is the different timeline?
The first panel is a year before the second.
Are you talking about the final panel’s ticker text? If so, yeah, that’s my bad. I missed the fact that it should say “Convicted” rather than “Arrested”.
Lara is missing her hand (&gun) in panel 2…. Also called the time jump!
The legal system may be imperfect but justice is eventually served.
I doubt you do. Most people love sex offenders being abused in prison. lol
Point taken. I was taught to be somewhat forgiving.
Understandable. I respect that, but most people, including other sex offenders themselves, get off on the idea of sex offenders being raped, stabbed and beaten in prison.
It says 1 year later but should that not of been in the prev comic page? (Then again it says in the prev comic page that the news report is only 1 week after lara made the video) It shows the news report in the first panel here, then it says “1 year later.” like the comic con is 1 year later after the news report. Then in the bottom final panel it says “Earlier this week”
So which is it or is this just an error? Or are different timelines getting mixed up or something?
Those are two different news reports. The second report after the timeskip is talking about Karl finally getting convicted, which happened days before the comic con.
So, Lara’s reveal livestream -> Karl arrested a few days later -> Karl getting convicted about a year after -> Comic con a few days later. (Having specific dates would make this less confusing, though.)
Agreed.
Thank you JD
One is reporting his arrest. The other is reporting his conviction a year later.
Its a bit too fast. lol
