Yesterday had one of the most drastic poll changes over the course of the day. After the first two hours, Scarlett was winning by over 75% on Beyond while she was actually losing by a few points on the regular site. By the time the polls closed, both polls settled out to Scarlett winning with around 65% of the vote.
I’m a little surprised that a character with a full series is losing to a one-shot.
But on the other hand, Selina left very little impression on me, so not that surprised.
It’s not like Erica doesn’t have a history here though – the one-shot was so popular in the earliest days of SF that Sam and the team decided to bring No Hard Feelings back as a redux. The popularity of Erica is there, not to mention how breathtakingly stunning she turned out in the redux!
I’d say that’s two different kinds of history. Yes, Erica was in one of the first animations that Sam ever made, but I don’t know if I’d say that’s the kind of history that yumei was referring to. The Erica in that first animation is very different from the Erica in the Redux. The commonality is more about the scenario of how Erica transformed than it is about the character. I see what you’re saying about all of that and would agree about most – except that there are more attractive women on the site. Zoey’s probably in my top 5 and I’d be okay with Erica losing to her, but there’s no one who tops Erica’s looks in my opinion.
Aside from Zoey/Gaela, Selina holds a special place in my heart since Doing Business As was the very first SF animation series that I watched. It convinced me to check out all the other stories in this site, and the canon Beyond comic made me love her even more.
For that, my vote goes to Selina. Though, if Erica wins, no hard feelings for me…

Erica = Hotter character
Selina = Cuter and better character
“Better” is entirely subjective. I think Erica is the better character – and it helps that she’s the hottest character on the site.
I mean, just look at her
For what it’s worth, I realized just now that I used Selina’s original character model from DBA rather than her updated character model that was used in the Beyond comic.
Erica’s my pick to win it all – she’s the most perfect woman on the site! I’m 7-6 now, I hope Erica wins today!
