That takes care of the monster and the lake, but Alastair now has to get the island out of quarantine by curing all the citizens’ blood. I believe his plans towards the government taking the infected water will take place in a mini-series similar to the Heist where Alastair had to infiltrate the DSC to take back his missing shards.
If Alistair succeeds by stopping the government misused the virus, he’ll most likely to tell the team with great news and maybe including how he got shattered in the 1st place since they deserve to know from all the hard work that they pull off.

This was my thinking as well. Perhaps a short, 1-2 episode animation series. I can confirm that we don’t see him do that in the comic itself. I just copy edited the finale last night.
Note, however, that I have no future knowledge of any of the animations. Well, except one very special one… hehe
I’m skeptical of a miniseries too.
Heist sounded really interesting when it was revealed it would be a miniseries, but turned out to (IMO) be a fairly mediocre miniseries.
Heist without Claire, without Isabelle, going to a non-blood military island instead of the DSC…that doesn’t even sound exciting.
I guess it’s possible that the miniseries that sounds exciting turns out mediocre, and the miniseries that sounds unexciting turns out great.
*Reciets ancient magic* “Ryuuga Waga Teki Wo Kurau!”
I don’t want to be a hypocrite, as I have complained about the slow pace and bloat of dead-end tangent subplots of all the comics.
But this is the second scene that feels rushed.
Gaela’s first time was completely skipped and I don’t just mean sex. She just immediately knows how to walk in heels and do makeup? This comic is 700 pages what would 30 more hurt for those scenes.
Because that would just be redundant at this point. We already had Zoey go through that earlier in the story when she was learning to be a woman. As for this scene, i think it was just enough of a battle with the abomination to be satisfying. The story is wrapping up, we’ll be getting to Favors and Followers soon
People transformed by the fox get a crash course in all that stuff…
A Ted-ed presentation “How 2 Woman 101”
What makes you say that?
Because he’s been doing this for literally centuries, so he knows the knwoledge that he needs to impart upon the people he cures. We’ve *seen* him doing it doens of times, and the new woman has never had any issue with her new center of gravity, or balancing in heels, or behaving convincingly womanly.
We’ve been seeing what it’s like for people transforming into women *without* Alistair for almost two years now. With him having returned, that mundane post-transformation stuff can go back to how it’s always been.
30 more pages devoted to Gaela’s first time out as a woman would absolutely hurt the comic because it’s already 700 pages. Not to mention, as others have pointed out, Gaela’s first time out would just be retread of stuff this comic has already been through with Zoey. We didn’t need to see Gaela’s first time out as a girl to get that she had a good time and is enjoying being a woman, especially when that would take time away from the plot that people want to see wrapped up. Since we’re so close to the end now, getting… Read more »
In writing both of your opinions about it the slow pace and the rushed scenes can be made and it doesn’t come off as hypocritical.
I have the feeling that there is going to be one of Sam’s cliffhanger twists.
No more time for twists, the story is basically over
Time to summon a Suicune!
That was easy, Too easy. ?
I was hoping for another two pages worth of fight, but I guess the abomination didn’t have it in it
Yes it is too easy but it’s just a beginning because now Alistair take care of unfinished business that the government messing with the virus on the nearby island once after Cinder Isle.
Gaela: Where is the Abomination?
Alistair: Gone, reduced to atoms.
What’s with all the Marvel references in the last few pages?
I don’t know lol. For the record though, I only made like 2 or 3 references the past month or so..
It’s mostly kenwin07…
This almost reminds me from Majora’s Mask when the swamp temple boss is destroyed, then all the water is purified with no toxins.
