YES! Alistaire is more aware than some of the ghosts! Time placement made it clear he’d go back together but who knew how long it might take.
As shown in Fractured, Isabelle (and most likely Alastair) can tell if a gender curse was recently placed in somebody or not. Gavin’s gender curse will most certainly be different from everyone else on the isle (based on how old it is) since we already know he was the only one on the isle that couldn’t be transformed by the red water.
The fact that there is an underground passageway and lake leading from Alastair’s island to Cinder Isle will most likely foreshadow something in Awakening.
Like maybe Gaela and Zack helps out Izzy, Alestiar, Clare, Ashley and Clare’s bf will need a place to hide?
It’s also likely that Alastair will do the ritual on Cinder Isle instead of his island in Awakening as he probably determined that he can’t do the ritual on his island when he knows Sylvana will eventually find it. This will allow a misdirection for Sylvana and her army. The four friends of Cinder Isle will most likely help out in Awakening, but that’s debatable.
When Alistair learns the state of things on Cinder Isle he is going to be beside himself…oh wait he already is.

Agreed. Need to understand why he was (literally) in pieces. A couple of ideas:
There was probably a critical mass of curses and it attacked him, and broke him into pieces, then the water of the nearby island got contaminated afterwards.
I still blame Ruby for blowing him up…
That doesn’t make sense though. This comic takes place in 1997. Sylvana isn’t released from her prison until 2020 when the events of Awakening begin. Sylvana is locked up for the entirety of Cinder Isle, so there’s no way she’s responsible.

At least it has buttons, as it should in 1997. Tip for those who’ve never used one, you have to lift the headset (what she’s holding) off the phone (off hook) and listen as you dial the number. There is no display.
Punching in the digits before you pick the headset up does nothing. I had to relearn how to use a phone once I got a cell phone. Sadly, I still have difficulty answering my smart phone. I have to drag the icon up to answer it. Up is ok, but how far up? At first I just tapped the icon. So much for an intuitive interface!
