I think it’s obvious that the reason he is immune is not that he’s “immune” but because he was already infected with the curse. Once the Foxx is back he will return the town to the way it way and Gaele will have the curse removed. Their relationship will continue just the other way around.

I wonder Gavin has a crush on both Zoey and Zack during this reveal

Oh! I should have thought of that. Natalie mentioned that they turned into their ideal women, so it makes sense that the virus turned Gavin into his ideal man. Can’t believe I didn’t make that connection. At least that made the reveal on today’s page more enjoyable to read.

It’s more complicated than just turning you into who you most find attractive, if all it did was that then all of the women on the island would have turned into men.

Yeah I agree, that probably would have made a more interesting story.

When the Fox comes back, he will need to switch these two.

Wait, if the virus turned Gavin into his vision of his ideal mate, does that mean there were no gay men on Cinder Isle before the virus?

Typically gay in the sapphirefoxx universe is not really related to the curse at all. Plenty of gay characters that were not trans such as Holly (who had the ability to transform but wanted to stay a woman), the main character in two sexy errors (was transformed, didn’t like it, transformed back), the main love interest in Becoming a Bridesmaid. Etc.

There’s also some characters who become women and stay lesbian, though not so many characters have been written this way recently.

You missed my point. The virus turns you into what you find most attractive. But for Gavin who’s trans, it turned him into his ideal man. It didn’t do that for any of the women on the island. So wouldn’t a gay man also turn into his ideal man?

The virus doesn’t really turn you into your ideal mate though. Rather, it turns you into your ideal woman, unless you have the gender curse in which case it’ll turn you into the ideal version of your own gender (if a woman with the gender curse got the virus, it wouldn’t turn her into a man but into her ideal woman). For that reason, if a gay man got the virus (assuming he doesn’t have the gender curse), he would still turn into his ideal woman even if he doesn’t realize that he has an ideal woman. But then again,… Read more »
