I find it hard to believe that Zack/Zoey would trust Heather to buy him/her something that was not super revealing, especially after all the teasing.

*sigh* I really wanted them to just be friends. Men and women CAN be friends without being lovers and I really hate the idea that every guy-girl relationship has to boil down to that. I was really hoping the sex and relationship stuff would be left to the adult characters.
But it seems pretty clear this is going down the direction of Zoey giving up on being Zack AND giving into new interests.
According to “When Harry Met Sally…” and 99% of romantic comedies/screwball comedies, it is impossible for a man and a woman to be friends without sex getting in the way at least a few times. There will always be those moments when a straight man and a straight woman in a “platonic” friendship will think about having sex with the other, no matter what the circumstances are. Whether they enact upon those thoughts depends on the person, but it makes for a much better story if they do enact on those thoughts.
Because a 1989 dramatic comedy and all other “comedies/screwball comedies” is the master judge for all human interaction and interesting storytelling. No Paul, once again, we don’t agree. The idea that sex is what the world revolves around is nothing but an excuse made up by perverts to justify their nonsense.
Men and women can be the best of friends and sex never needs to be an issue. I pity the people who think otherwise, because it is their loss.
