uh – oh did lorraine spy on oliver as caroline last night at lorenzo’s place where she learned about oliver / caroline’s passion for pets.
Man, she’s evil. 🙂
So when does she tie him to the bed, put a block between his ankles, and breaks said ankles? =P
She’s so f’ing manipulative, it’s annoying.
142 Pages in and I still feel like we haven’t hit the tipping point in the story, or at least to the point where you can see some connections. In shifting roommates the plot was fairly simple and laid out and you knew where it was heading. Different perspectives has a major twist towards the end but the whole split personality/duel personality thing came into effect and we had major developments. Fractured was very set out from the start Alister is damaged and its the story of the people who wronged him. Still we knew where it was going early… Read more »
If I were him I would probably seriously ask her are you truly doing this for me or do you want your daughter to replace me?
Does anyone here still like our fairy godmother Lorraine? If so, respond and say how much you like her. We’ve seen plenty of posts going from mild dislike to hatred, so don’t bother saying it again in answers to this comment.
I like her and why not. She is more pleasant than some of the other antagonists in the Foxx Universe.
And what if Ollie really has the “Curse” and she is a parallel fixer using different methods than Alistair. Maybe she is a relative of his from way back. Did anyone else consider that? Noooo. Of course not, lets just hate her without knowing the whole story.
Gee whiz….. Stay off jury duty… So quick to judgement…..LOL
That’s kinda what i said yesterday, that how do readers know there isn’t a curse – and the distant relation makes sense too. I like our FGM – yes she is a little guilty of leaving some of the side effects out of the truth – but there is no clear indication as too why she wasn’t as forthcoming
142 pages in is not quick judgement. What about the mind shift stuff? I think the point here is if it was FTM instead, would you be so cool about it? If Oliver had a curse, the story would have been progressing in a different manner. I did not really start disliking Lorraine until after the second bad thing she had done. When Lorraine manipulated the minds of the people to get Caroline the gig, I thought to myself… “If Lorraine was so good, why did she not do that for Oliver in the first place.” And there was the… Read more »
You know i feel for her shes probably lost her daughter tragically and i can understand why she does it most of the times and sometimes i can feel like she sometimes actually cares for happiness
To answer my own question. I am ambivalent about her. Put another way, I’m neutral, edging towards dislike. I like people who are straightforward. Lorraine is not straightforward. Her syrupy way of talking is unconvincing, her withholding information is definitely not my style and worrysome. My opinion of her will rest solely on what she does. The more I see of this scheme, the less I like it.
There’s ONLY one advantage that Oliver/Caroline have over other top models. Mobbed as Caroline by adoring fans? Turn into Oliver and be anonymous. There’s no possibility of someone ripping off your disguise to expose you in a restaurant or somewhere else. I bet Caroline absolutely hates not looking good, which means that her wigs, clothes and makeup disguises wouldn’t work well.
