Yea the Side Effect that you don’t notice is the lack of desire to change back. Oliver has left the building, Long live Caroline.

Yeah, no side effects at all. Oliver is already dead. “he” just doesn’t know it yet.

Just a question. And don’t think i specifically asking you, but i’ve seen “Oliver is being killed or is already dead” a lot in comments for this comic and it occurs to me – without knowing whether Oliver has/had a curse and should have been female, isn’t it premature to speculate OR does this mean that you have thought that every time The Foxx heals someone of their curse, he was killing the opposite gender’s personality? In previous comics like Fractured, the main characters were all men and were changed into females for smashing the Foxx, but to me all… Read more »

Okay let me address your issues one at a time. The possibility that Oliver is cursed and should have been female to begin with – possible, but I think it is unlikely for a few reasons – why doesn’t Lorraine just change him into her? Next, why the name change from Oliver to Caroline? Not something like Olivia. Why do Caroline and Oliver have nothing else in common beside career choice and liking dogs(something most people like and could easily be a coincidence) Further Caroline and Oliver have completely different moral values. Moving from there, other characters who were cursed… Read more »

Caroline is behaving like a parasite. Or a disease, slowly but surely bringing Oliver to his doom.

Which sounds like there actually might be a fracture or a sharing in the soul as in Different Perspectives.
What if Oliver was adopted and he had a still born twin sister.
Her consciousness merged with his and lay dormant all this time.
We don’t know the whole background yet so everything anyone comes up with is speculation.

Fair enough and all really good points, and i actually agree with most of the points you’ve made, the only difference is, i haven’t yet decided whether it is a totally different personality or what was the cause of the change. Things like head injuries and mental illnesses, like strokes, split personalities etc, can cause massive changes to personalities and behaviours that you are describing in differences between Caroline and Oliver. And who really knows what side effects Lorraine’s magic might have on a person when she performs a gender change i.e. Maybe she didn’t receive official/proper training in it… Read more »

On your final point, i meant to say in the third paragraph, that maybe it wasn’t a choice of Oliver’s, Caroline’s or Lorraine’s to change the previous positions, interests and morals, but more an unexpected consequence.

I don’t really remember in great detail but in Fractured they adapted to their new bodies but their personalities didn’t really change that much, no more at least than is normal for a person going through major changes to their lifestyle. here one personality does things that makes the other sick, like eating meat or tofu and of course having sex with someone of the same sex as the other (although I don’t recall Caroline commenting on Olivers sex life) plus one is in control while the other is in some kind of sleep. it’s a bit like different perspectives… Read more »

I’d say their personality changed a lot. From macho a**holes to actually real human beings in Fractured. It was a slow and agonizing transformation for them.
At least Ollie can switch back and forth.
This story really isn’t that different from the others.

they were rude to a couple people, smashed a strange statue that attacked them and burnt an evil witch that was threatening them.
maybe my memory is worse than I thought but I don’t think they were that bad just immature and I think they were drunk at the start.
then after they were transformed into women they became friends with the transwomen they made fun of and were nicer to her but what else changed?

Women were just objects to them, Blake screwing a married women after showing the house to them and the husband had left. Evan so shallow and sacrificing his friend for one night of passion. Mathew being married and also belittling women. Kyle took lessons from Blake to be just as bad. They were bragging about it in the beginning. Late 20’s and one mid 30’s is not immature anymore.
They were jerks, that’s why we loved the justice done to them.

and I guess it was a coincidence that the one in his mid 30’s turned into a teenager?
they were human, not perfect.
Isabelle and Alistair was right the curse he gave them was vindictive, cruel and not at all just.
what I got out of it was that they each had their own problems (as everyone one does) and man hands on misery to man, by the end they each had their problems addressed and became better people for it.
