Hmm what if the hacked changed it somehow so time seems to flow differently in game? Naw that seems like too much of a stretch…

You’d be surprised how many successful people don’t have college degrees. Granted in some areas it helps, for example it’s not too often an IT firm hires a programmer without a certification or degree (which is why I’m working towards both)

I assume, since the game is based out of America it looks like, the units of measurement are going to be imperial?
Not sure how widely used the imperial measurement system is, but I think Germany uses Metric. o.o
Not sure though

Jup, we use metric only. Though we are, have to be, used to the imperial system, as we often have to deal with american games and people in the internet, who insist using this irrational stuff. So it would be logical, that he can use the system so the americans can understand (Japan uses metric too)

That being said many games in a fantasy setting name their internal measurements with the classical names to give them self a historical touch. So it would be safe to assume, that he is using the measurement displayed in the game.

It’s not really widely spread at all. 94,7% of the world uses the Metric system. Only 3 countries are sticking to the outdated Imperial system. Liberia, Myanmar and The USA.

Actually, the US uses both imperial and metric. 90% of American autos use metric connectors (i.e. bolts and nuts) we also classify engine sizes by liters instead of cubic inches. Even the us military has been using the metric system more than the imperial.

The UK uses a combination of both, for length we use (from the imperial) foot, inches or mile, (from the metric) meters, for weight we use (from the imperial) ounce, stone, pound and ton, (from metric) kilogram and metric tonne (and we genuinely say ‘a metric tonne’) for area we use (from imperial) acre or sq feet (from metric) sq meter and for volume we use (from imperial) pint or gallon (from metric) litres…we are an odd country that like to use both!!

Weirdly though a lot of game systems use either Imperial or a made up system as its “appropriate” to the world. Leading to a lot of “ok the monster is X hexes away convert that to feet, umm 3.94 feet per hex so that’s 5.17 feet which in metres is . . . “
